Rest Commerine Zaporizhstal increased the production of cast iron by more than 5%

Zaporizhstal announced the results of production activities in 2012. The production of steel remained almost at the level of 2011, and the production of cast iron increased by more than 5%.

The positive dynamics of the volume of steel and metal production was recorded since August 2012, after the management of the enterprise, the Zaporizhstal press center says.

If, according to the results of the first 7 months of 2012, the volumes of products were steadily falling, then in September - November the growth of production began.

Despite the difficult situation in the world's steel markets, where the lion's share of the production manufactured by the production plant is going on, the new management Zaporizhstal was able to maintain production volumes and even raise the main types of metal rolling by 6-7%.

“We resumed the investment program, which was frozen and the results of which are already visible to everyone. For 2013, taking into account the negative forecast of markets, we plan to maintain the same production volumes,” said Rostislav Shurma, Director General of Zaporizhstal OJSC.
