Türkiye increased import duties on sheet steel
Official sources in Turkey report an increase in import duties on some types of sheet rental entering into force on December 31, 2012. Under the Christmas tree, Ukrainian metallurgists put a rate increased to 10% on the import of sheet metal rolling with a width of more than 500 mm, with a mass fraction of a carbon less than 0.25%.
The Turkish authorities did not dwell on this and introduced an import duty on stainless steel with a thickness of more than 4.75 mm in the amount of 2.5%, thus transmitting hello to the metallurgists from the Russian Federation. And so that no one was offended, they increased the rate of import duties on the alloy sheet with a width of more than 600 mm to 6%.
Thus, the entire variety of Ukrainian sheet rental was under pressure from import duties.
Recall that the ports of the Black Sea accumulated already more than 1 million 648 thousand tons of sheet steel, including the amount of Ukrainian production metal products is 1 million 127 thousand tons.
