The customs agency of Canada initiated an investigation against the import of steel welded pipes for the production of the Chinese People’s Republic, the Republic of India, the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. The main purpose of the investigation is the updating of the import norms and calculation of export prices for certain pipes of carbon steel grades.
This study became repeated after the statement of the Canadian authorities about the threat of domestic trade. It is assumed that all stages of the investigation will be completed until May 7, 2013. Pipe importers to Canada are warned that new norms will be significantly changed and this can lead to an additional assessment of anti -dumping measures.
