Ukrainian metallurgists urge their colleagues elected to the Verkhovna Rada to create a specialized lobby

The Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Ukrmet Brony Metallurgy enterprises Sergey Grishchenko announced his intentions to appeal to the Verkhovna Rada deputies who came from the Mining and Metallurgical Sector of Ukraine, with a request to unite in the metal lobby to solve problems in the industry. This became known at a meeting on the prospects of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex of Ukraine, held at the Physics and Technology Institute of Metals and Alway of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

"According to my estimates, about twenty people (former heads of industry enterprises in Ukraine) were elected in the Verkhovna Rada of this convocation, about thirty of the trade union of metallurgists and miners of Ukraine," Grishchenko said.

The meeting participants hope that the initiative of Ukrmet will support the OP Metallurgprom and Ukrkoks. According to Sergey Grishchenko, the main goal of creating a metallurgical lobby will be "Preparing a program of actions in crisis conditions for the country's mining and metallurgical complex"

The most famous parliamentarian-metallurgist today is Vladimir Boyko, now holding the position of "Honorary President of the ILICH MMK".

The Ukrainian Association of Brand Metallurgy Enterprises Ukrmet (hereinafter the Association) was created in 1998 by decision of 28 enterprises and organizations of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex of Ukraine as a non-governmental incomprehensible organization. The main goal of creating an association is the coordination of the actions of its participants in the development of domestic production and the search for new markets for metal products. Currently, the association includes 15 metallurgical enterprises, 10 specialized associations (Ukrkox, Ukrrudprom, Ukrtruboprom, etc.), and 6 commercial structures.

The association of Metallurgprom enterprises was formed in 1995 in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of 08/19/1994. The initiator of the creation of the association was the Ministry of Industry of Ukraine and the heads of enterprises of the mining -metallurgical complex. The main goal of creating an association is to ensure the coordination activities of the enterprises of the GMC and their associations.
