The economy is going into a tailspin

Russian Railways' loading in May 2025 amounted to 94.6 million tons, which is 9.4% less than in the same period last year.

Loading:

Coal – 138.2 million tons (-3.4% compared to January – May 2024);

Coke – 4.3 million tons (-12%);

Due to the reduction in domestic demand for products from the metallurgical sector, the loading of ferrous metals (-29.1%) and scrap metal (-40%) decreased.

Oil and petroleum products – 82.9 million tons (-5.8%);

Iron and manganese ore – 45 million tons (-0.2%);

Ferrous metals – 22.6 million tons (-16%);

Ferrous scrap – 3.1 million tons (-30.5%);

Chemical and mineral fertilizers – 30 million tons (5.6%);

Construction goods – 37.5 million tons (-20.7%);

Industrial raw materials and molding materials – 11.1 million tons (-19.2%);
