At the Congress of Representatives of the Chinese Association of ferrous metallurgy, which was held on January 5, 2013, its new president was elected SE Leijiang (XU Lejiang) - chairman of the board of the largest metallurgical company Baosteel.
China’s metallurgical industry is faced today with unprecedented difficulties, but this inevitably occurs in the process of development of any industry.
"The Chinese metallurgical industry is located at the beginning of the long journey, which it has to go in the future. Today there is a huge gap in the pace of urbanization in China and developed countries. The revival of the Great Chinese nation will last two hundred years, and all this time the demand for steel will only increase. We have every reason to believe that there is huge potential for the development of China and its steel industry," Set Leyang.
"At the same time, Chinese metallurgy should already today change the production regime from the chase of the amount of steel to an innovative development model. We must make innovation an important element of a market economy and pay all our attention to the quality of metal rolling and production efficiency. Without innovation, many metallurgical plants will die in the competition. The steel industry of the future should be based on the business models of the innovative management and the innovation manager and Institutional innovation, ”added the chairman of the Baosteel board, president of the Chinese Association of ferrous metallurgy, Xu Leyang.
Chinese metallurgy will move from quantity to quality - head of Baosteel to Leiyang
