A special leitmotif of the evening was the theme dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. Together with the choir, the audience sang "Dark Night", "Katyusha". Andrey Poltorukhin, the choir's chief conductor, praised the audience and invited them to continue singing their favorite songs together. He did not announce some of the compositions, and the audience guessed them by the first notes.
The audience sang the song "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" and "I'll go out into the field with a horse at night" along with the choir, and at the end of the ovation they did not stop, preventing the artists from continuing the concert. Concluding their performance, the choir sang "Many Summers" for the guests of the festival. The audience saw off their favorite artists standing.
The Metropolitan Choir of Minsk was no less warmly welcomed. It was established in 2014 and accompanies all episcopal services and live broadcasts of Christmas and Easter services at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in the Belarusian capital. Its founder and chief conductor is Vitaly Sobolevsky. The band presented songs, including those in the Belarusian language, included in the golden fund of Russian musical art, as well as compositions from the war years.
Before the concert, Anatoly Markevich, Head of the Representative Office of the Union State Standing Committee in Minsk, shared with SOYUZ his impressions of the past Days of the Union State.
"As you know, the International festival "Slavyansky Bazar in Vitebsk" has many faces. It is diverse, it is an amazing platform that allows you to meet with friends, interact, and make very informed decisions. There is a dialogue between generations here. We can see how active the youth are. And it is very important that at the Slavyansky Bazaar in Vitebsk, everyone finds to their taste what they are interested in, what is closer to their heart, to their soul," Anatoly Markevich noted. According to him, the enthusiastic looks of the people showed how much the audience enjoyed the concert program "This is our Victory!".
"In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, of course, the melodies that inspired our people cannot but touch the most sincere strings of the soul. We also visited the Vitebsk Concert Hall, where we saw the musical The Dreamers. And you know, I've determined for myself that this musical is interesting in its design.
