It is the flying Gogol that adorns the coat of arms of the Cherepovets district of the Vologda region. This bird nests in hollows of old trees, which is not enough in the region to restore the population of the gogogoli ducks.
Therefore, Ecologists “Severstal” together with the Darwin reserve and volunteers of the company came up with a project-to make special bird houses in which they could withdraw the chicks. They supported the idea of making gogogolator houses with their own hands. We directed the drawings, and we already have 9 cozy gogolators who will help these beautiful birds return home. This is not just a project - this is an opportunity to restore harmony in nature, returning life to our forests and creating a cozy place for the life of Gogoli, ”
says olga Kalashnikova, head of the Severstal Ecology Department.
This project is part of the new Severstal Strategy on Biostroesion Biorebality - We will save life. We will continue to deepen cooperation and attract caring people to protect nature. Together we will be able to achieve outstanding results in preserving the biodiversity!
We thank our volunteers and partners!
