The Swedish company Boliden non-ferrous metal company in the second quarter of 2025 reduced operating profit, which turned out to be worse than expected.
according to the company’s press release, the profit in April June amounted to 1.094 billion Swedish crowns ($ 112.1 million) compared to 4.814 billion kroons for the same period of the last years.
Analysts on average predicted 1.48 billion kroons, according to LSEG.
net profit fell to 575 million kroons from 3.61 billion kroons a year earlier. The revenue fell to 22.285 billion Croat from 22.748 billion kroons.
Boliden General Director Michael Staffas said that the direct influence of the US imported duties is minimal, but the indirect consequences of their introduction are “very difficult to evaluate”. Also, the weakening of the US national currency negatively affected the results of the company's activities, as it sells metals in dollars.
