Severstal transfers the deadline for achieving its climatic goal to reduce carbon intensity by an earlier term. According to the actualized forecast, we will achieve the goal of reducing the specific emissions of CO₂ by 10% compared to the basic level already in 2028, instead of the previously planned 2030.
the transfer of deadlines was possible due to the timely completed projects for the decarbonization - the largest of them is the construction of a complex for the production of iron ore rans, as well as also The launch of new investment projects, including the construction of a coke battery of 12 with a tamping technology, a new utilization thermal power station with a capacity of 149 MW.
The total volume of investments in measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2028 increased from 139 billion rubles to 298 billion rubles.
