The festive week dedicated to Metallurgist's Day is over. Let's recall how one of the most striking events took place — a solemn procession through the streets of Cherepovets

Severstal employees, their families and company veterans marched along Sovetsky Prospekt, Lenin and Stalevarov Streets. The column was led by Veterans Council activists and Severstal executives, including Alexei Mordashov, who continues his family's dynasty of metallurgists. This year, the holiday has become especially significant — the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant celebrated its 70th anniversary.

More than 3,000 people took part in the march. The festive atmosphere was created by creative teams, and residents greeted the column with flags, costumes and a good mood. The holiday ended with a big concert at the Metallurgists' Palace on Youth Square.

"An ordinary childhood — it was largely connected with the work of parents. Mom worked at a factory all her life. We got our first color TV as a reward to my father for starting converter production," Alexey Mordashov shared his memories.
