Metinvest reduced the production of rolled products in the EU and the UK by 13%

In 2024, Metinvest Mining and Metallurgical Group reduced rolled products production in the UK and the EU by 13% to 1,367 million tons, which was caused by unfavorable market conditions in the EU, in particular, the availability of cheap Russian slabs, according to the group's annual report.

According to him, the production of flat rolled products at Metinvest Trametall decreased by 3% to 466 thousand tons, at Ferreira Valsider – by 45% to 190 thousand tons and at Spartan Great Britain - by 22% to 153 thousand tons.

Over the past year, Trametall's share in total production in the UK and the EU was 34% (31% in 2023), Ferreira Valsider – by 14% (22%), Promet Steel - by 41% (35%), Spartan - by 11%. (12%).
