Ukrainian metallurgists in 2012 Chugun sold more, and received less money for it

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the export of Chugun in 2012, in kind, amounted to 1 million 967 thousand tons, which is 10.9% more than in 2011. Unian writes about this.

However, Ukrainian metallurgical companies reduced the revenue from the sale of cast iron abroad by 6.4%, receiving 764 million 900 thousand dollars. It turns out that the average price of cast iron realized for export was $ 389 per ton, while the price for the domestic market of Ukraine was more than $ 600.

At the same time, Ukrainian plants imported cast iron at an average price of $ 475. This is evidenced by all the same data from the State Customs Service of Ukraine. In 2012, the import of cast iron in natural terms decreased by 22.4% to 33 thousand 900 tons, which cost the Ukrainian consumer 16 million 100 thousand dollars (-30.4%).

According to the data presented by the Metallurgprom 1 , the production of cast iron in Ukraine in 2012 decreased by 1% compared to 2011 and amounted to 28 million 513 thousand tons.
