ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon Europe intends to increase the price of sheet steel by 50 euros/ton, explaining this step by increasing world prices for steel. It is reported by Yeh.com.
The increase in steel prices can adversely affect European buyers, as most of them refused to replenish the warehouses at the end of 2012, expecting a further drop in prices.
As we have already reported, ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon Europe has already attempted to turn off the descending trend for metal rolling prices in December 2012. Then the company managers managed to raise the price of 20 euros/ton.
The strengthening demand in the steel market in Europe and the rising prices for metal rolling in world markets support the determination of metallurgists for further prices.
