Among the reasons for the crisis is a high key rate of the Central Bank, cost growth, competition with cheap Chinese equipment and a drop in demand in housing and road construction. “Rosspetsmash” calls on the authorities to large -scale support: preferential loans, tax benefits, prepayment of state orders, programs for updating equipment for builders and communal companies. The Association also proposes to strengthen technical control and measures against importers.
Experts note that it is unlikely to restore the market in the near future: against the background of the crisis in the housing sector and the completion of large infrastructure projects, the demand for DST continues to fall.
