The global crisis is not terrible to us - indicators of growth of production of steel in the Dnipropetrovsk region are the highest on earth

In the twelve months of 2012, enterprises of the Dnipropetrovsk region increased the production of the main types of metal products by 5 - 7%. At least this is said in a press release from the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration.

The production of cast iron in 2012 in the region increased by 7.2% and reached 9 million 500 thousand tons. 9 million 700 thousand tons were manufactured, which is also 7% higher than 2011. At the same time, the smelting became 10 million 800 thousand tons, increasing by incredible 4.5%.

"Dnipropetrovsk, during the year, demonstrated high indicators of industrial production due to the systemic work on the modernization of industry enterprises and the introduction of new quality standards. Therefore, the results of the year are obvious - high indicators of the production of the main types of industrial products: cast iron, steel, agglomerate and rental," said the regional governor Dmitry Kolesnikov.

Moreover, the Governor of Dnipropetrovsk said that in 2013, the growth of industrial production in its area will remain. To ensure it, a systemic implementation of innovative projects aimed at improving the quality and competitive products of industrial products will be started. The total amount of investment in environmental and energy -saving projects at enterprises of the Dnipropetrovsk region will be more than 36 billion hryvnias.

Dmitry Kolesnikov noted high indicators of leading metallurgical enterprises of the region, which provide constant growth of metallurgical products and stable development of industry in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In particular, the active growth of production is demonstrated by Arselormital Krivoy Rog PJSC, where the production of cast iron in 2012 increased by 14.6%, steel by 12.7%and rental by 10.2%. High performance of the rental production is demonstrated by OJSC "DMK named after Dzerzhinsky" (+4.3%) and OJSC Interpipe NTZ (+8.9%).

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, invariably high indicators of pipeline production are preserved. According to the results of 2012, 1.4 million tons of pipes were produced in the region, which is 7.4% more than 12 months of 2011.

Recall that leading steel analysts, which recently presented their forecasts for 2013, said that production growth will be no more than 3.5%, and the growth in the consumption of metal rolling in China, which allocated the amounts of the amounts by the standards of Ukraine, will not exceed 5%. At the same time, Arselor Mittal announced the upcoming mass dismissals at his factories in different countries in connection with a poor market conjuncture.
