On January 11, 2013, the state enterprise Ukrzaliznipstach signed an agreement with Metinvest-Ukraine LLC for the supply of 30 thousand tons of railway rails totaling 322 million 710 thousand UAH. This was reported by the publication "Our Money" with reference to the "Bulletin of the State Procurement of Ukraine".
As a result of the tender on the eve of the tender, Metinvest got the opportunity to sell trunk R-65 trunks of 25 meters of the brand of steel M76T at 10757 UAH/ton. In the price of Metinvest SMC, such rails cost at least 12495 UAH/ton.
The only competitor to Rinat Akhmetov on the tender was the Dnepropetrovsk LLC Spetsurpostavka, owned by the British company Baltmetal LLP).
LLC Metinvest-Ukraine from the group Metinvest Rinat Akhmetov annually wins similar tenders.
In 2012 alone, the state -owned enterprise "Ukrzaliznipstach" for unknown reasons did not publish data on the tender for the acquisition of rails. In total, since 2008, the Metinvest group received 3 billion 630 million hryvnias from the railways of Ukraine.
