The General Secretary of the Turkish Association of Chugun manufacturers and became DCUD Weisel Yayan, said that in 2012, steel growth in Turkey amounted to 5.11%. This became known at the press conference of the Association in Izmir.
Mr. Weisel Yayan emphasized that the achieved increase in production of steel occurred after 11.7% of growth in 2011. Growth has slowed somewhat, although he remained the highest in the world in terms of the volumes of melted steel.
While global production of steel in 2012 increased less than 1%, Turkish metallurgy continues to gain momentum. "Today, the lag from Germany in production steel is 7 million tons, but until the end of 2016, Türkiye will catch up and distillations of German metallurgists," said Weisel Yayan.
Today, Türkiye takes 8th place in the world among the largest steel exporters.
