Russian exports of construction fittings continued to grow and increased by 73% YoY in the first half of 2025. At the same time, prices for fittings in the ports of the Black Sea remain stable — about $ 520/ton. The decrease in the average rebar price for 7 months in 2025 on this basis was 4% YoY
The structure of rebar exports by country: CIS - 62%, Middle East and North Africa - 31%. Moreover, exports to the CIS countries showed the greatest growth this year, up to 1.1 million tons (154% YoY).
Against the background of stable domestic demand for rebar (about 4.6 million tons for 1 half of 2024 and 1 half of 2025) and a decrease in consumption of wire rod (-7% yoy) and other long products (-29% yoy for the same period), increasing exports of rebar allows Russian metallurgists to maintain fairly high volumes production facilities. The reduction in production of finished rolled products over 7 months of 2025, according to Chermet Corporation, amounted to 5.3% YoY to 35.2 million tons, reflecting the difficult domestic market conditions and continuing challenges for the industry.
