Evraz published production results for 2012

The volume of steel and metal production in 2012 on Evraza decreased by 5 and 4%, respectively, in relation to the results of the previous year. The release of cast iron also fell by 2.1 %. In the last quarter of 2012, it became 5.9 % less than in the third quarter, and the production of cast iron remained at the same level.

The reduction in the release of steel in the fourth quarter occurred due to downtime during the capital repairs of the enterprise undergoing within the framework of the program of modernization of the enterprise. In addition, the temporary stop of production in the Czech Republic at the Evraz Vitkovice Steel plant negatively affected. This was reported by the press center of the Evraz group.

During the reconstruction and technical re -equipment of production, household premises and canteens were restored. Evraz NTMK repaired 6 canteens in 2012. Among them, it is especially worth noting the wheeled, rail and domain workshops.

In 2012, 15 million 945 thousand tons of steel were melted and 10 million 554 thousand tons of cast iron were melted. The production of finished rental reached 11 million 77 thousand tons, including rails of 1 million 832 thousand tons, 2 million 472 thousand tons and grade rental and pipes of 1 million 566 thousand tons.

The share of the finished metal rolling in the total production of Euras remained at the level of 2011 and amounted to 77%. In the future, it is expected that with an increase in rolling capacities after the modernization of the rail -filling workshop of the Nizhny Tagil Playwood, the share of finished products will grow in 2013, and the range of products will expand.
