Tenaris strengthens offshore operations in Brazil

The Luxembourg manufacturer of Tenaris steel pipes announced the new milestone in the marine oil and gas industry of Brazil with the successful deployment of tubular elements from corrosion-resistant alloys (CRA) enhanced by Dopeless® technology. The breakthrough occurred in two sea wells located in the sunflower reserves of Buzios and Jubart, which has become an important step towards the safer, more efficient and environmentally friendly deep-sea operations in Brazil.

The sea operation included the installation of more than 400 pipes on the well. The tubes were made of Superduplex 25cr steel and connected to the Tenarishydril Blue® premium. The entire system was covered with Dopeless technology, a multifunctional layer applied to a mill that minimizes the processing and preparation of pipes during storage and operation, reduces the environmental impact, eliminating the need to clean on board and increases operational safety and efficiency in marine conditions.
