The head of the supervisory board of Thyssenkrupp AG, Mr. Gerhard Kromme, recognized the mistakes of him when working with assets in the USA and Brazil. It is reported by Reuters.

“If you ask me if we could, as a supervisor to act differently, then to be honest: yes, we too trusted the leadership of these co -rolling plants, although it was necessary to act much earlier,” said Gerhard Kromme at the annual meeting of Thyssenkrup shareholders. “As it turned out, many answers of the board of directors to the requests of the supervisory board turned out to be too optimistic, incomplete, and sometimes simply wrong,” Gerhard Kromme emphasized.

The head of Thyssenkrupp laid a lot of millions of losses on the American continent on former leaders of factories and added that the Supervisory Board was able to stabilize the situation at the factory in Alabama.

His performance was met with loud exclamations, cries and whistles of many thousands of audience. The collected shareholders considered it guilty of the huge losses of Gerhard Kromme and the former chairman of the board of directors of Thyssenkrup AG Ekkehard Schulz.

Recall that Gerhard Kromme two years ago came to Thyssenkrupp from Siemens. During this time, he was implemented a project to enter the US metallurgical market, which brought several billion euros of losses and deprived of dividends for 2011-2012 financial year.
