In January-July of this year, China's iron ore production totaled 595.914 million tons, down 5.4 percent year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS).
In July alone, China's iron ore production totaled 86.325 million tons, an increase of 21.8 percent year-on-year, while declining 3.0 percent month-on-month.
In July, import prices for iron ore rose. The lowest level of $93/t during this month was observed on July 1, while the highest level of $104/t was observed on July 22 and 24.
