These measures were introduced in response to the collapse of the Brumadinho dam in 2019, which would be the deadliest occupational accident and the second-worst environmental disaster in Brazil's history.
The company also stated that it maintains continuous monitoring and control protocols for its dams, with operations operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
