Turkish company Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii reports higher net losses despite revenue growth in the first half of 2025

Turkish manufacturer of steel wire and ropes from Kocaeli Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii AŞ. announced its financial results for the first half of this year.

In the period, the company reported a net loss of 463.24 million Turkish liras ($11.32 million), compared with a net loss of 37.90 million Turkish liras recorded in the same period of the previous year, while its sales revenue increased 2.6 percent year-on-year to 911.29 million Turkish liras ($22.27 million). In addition, Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii's operating loss for the first six months was 113.22 million Turkish liras ($2.77 million), compared with an operating loss of 131.19 million Turkish liras recorded for the same period in 2024.

In the first half of the year, the company's total sales value of steel ropes was 490.57 million Turkish lira ($11.98 million), an increase of 130.0 percent, while its sales value of galvanized wire fell 48.0 percent to 90.36 million Turkish lira ($2.21 million), while sales of spring wire fell nine percent to 183.76 million Turkish lira ($4.49 million), and all this is annualized.
