S. Department of Commerce, imports of standard pipes to the United States totaled 74,287 tons in June this year, up 21.9 percent from May and down 2.7 percent year-on-year. In value terms, imports of standard pipes totaled $73.4 million in June, compared with $62.4 million in May and $89.0 million in June last year.
The United States imported the most standard pipes from the UAE in June with 18,349 tons, compared with 13,318 tons in May and 18,290 tons in June last year. Other leading sources of imported standard pipes in June include Thailand with 10,221 metric tons, Canada with 9,075 metric tons, South Korea with 8,538 metric tons, and Vietnam with 6,498 metric tons.
