According to Taiwan's Ministry of Economy (MOEA), Taiwan's industrial production index rose 2.12 percent in July this year from the previous month and 18.11 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index fell 1.40 percent month-on-month and rose 18.44 percent year-on-year.
In the specified month, the volume of industrial production in the base metals sector in the country decreased by 3.02 percent, while the volume of metal products increased by 4.67 percent compared to the previous month. In addition, the volume of base metal production decreased by 6.17 percent year-on-year in July, while the volume of metal products increased by 8.64 percent.
Meanwhile, in July, production in Taiwan's machinery industry increased by 7.62 percent, while production in the automotive industry decreased by two percent year-on-year.
