In August, Zaporizhstal produced 310,800 tons of pig iron, 277,300 tons of steel and 245,900 tons of finished steel, an increase of 19.8 percent, 17.1 percent and 14.8 percent year-on-year, respectively.
In January-August of this year, Zaporizhstal's pig iron production totaled 2.34 million tons, an increase of 14.2 percent year-on-year, while steel and finished steel production totaled 2.10 million tons and 1.84 million tons, respectively, an increase of 6.7 percent and 11.8 percent year-on-year.
