In this month, the country's pig iron production increased by 11.9 percent compared to the previous month and fell by six percent year-on-year to 649,400 tons, while rolled products production totaled 633,200 tons, an increase of 14.7 percent month-on-month and 7.5 percent compared to the same month last year.
Meanwhile, in the first eight months of this year, Ukraine produced 5.11 million tons of pig iron, an increase of eight percent year-on-year, while crude steel production in this period totaled 4.91 million, an increase of 3.2 percent, and rolled products production totaled 4.26 million tons, an increase of 8.6 percent year-on-year.
