The leading Indian integrated steel manufacturer, JSW Steel Ltd., expanded its processing abilities, putting into operation the second 350-ton Ruhrstahl Heraeus (RH) in Dolvi Works in Maharastra. Built by Germany, Plantmaker SMS Group, this new RH device strengthens the JSW Steel ability to produce steel with a high steel point for a demanding industry around the world.
RH process is a secondary metallurgical processing, where liquid steel is specified in a vacuum vessel. It removes impurities, such as hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon, improving the overall quality. The first unit was ordered in 2023, and with this addition the company additionally increases its secondary metallurgy capabilities.
Along with the expansion of RH, the SMS group will provide JSW Steel:
- A new modern blast furnace. 2026
These investments will maintain the long -term goal of JSW to strengthen high -quality production of steel for both domestic and international markets.
