French company Vallourec wins OCTG award in the amount of $ 1 billion from Petrobras

French pipe manufacturer Vallourec has signed a contract for the supply of pipe products for the oil industry (OCTG) with Brazilian energy supplier Petrobras. The deal, which covers the period from 2026 to 2029, is valued at $1 billion, making it the widest award since Petrobras introduced its open bidding system.

Vallourec will provide the entire OCTG portfolio required for Petrobras offshore wells. These include:

• Seamless pipes from 4.5 to 18 inches in diameter.
• Premium VAM® connections designed to provide strong, leak-proof connections.
• Carbon steel and stainless steel pipes with related accessories.

In addition to supplying products, Vallourec will provide extensive onshore and offshore support services, including:

• cabinet design and coordination of materials.
• Drilling rig preparation and offshore supervision.
• Repair and replenishment of drilling rig stocks.

These services aim to help Petrobras improve operational efficiency and ensure the smooth operation of offshore drilling.
