Ukrainian production steel falls due to monopolism in the economy

Monopolism is very convenient for power in terms of manual management of the economy. This was stated by the People’s Deputy from the "Fatherland" Andrei Lypny during the panel discussion "Currency Security of Ukraine", which took place on January 24 in the Bookstore "E".

“Monopolism is convenient for the authorities, for the political regime,” he said.

“In fact, they worked on this monopolism with painstaking work, worked as whole financial and industrial groups,” the lush one emphasized.

“It was this monopolism to date that, in fact, has formed the political situation that is in the country. It is this monopolism that feeds the family, provides control on the merits of 10 oligarchic clans over 80% of the Ukrainian economy, ”the deputy said.

“The problem of monopolism in Ukraine has specific surnames: Firtash is 100%control over the production of fertilizers, Ahmetas-depending on the industry (starting with metallurgy and ending with gas production and electricity trade), in fact or 100%monopoly (as in terms of electricity export), or from 70%in metallurgy and to 60%of the production of energy production coal, ”said the lush.

“Two oligarchic families control 70% of air transportation in the country,” he added.

“It is such an economy that is very convenient in terms of manual management,” the deputy summed up.

“Yanukovych, having come to power, received Ukraine with an export structure, which was 60% raw materials. And this is a huge problem of Ukraine, because the dependence of Ukraine on the external conjuncture of the raw material markets creates the problem from which Ukraine has lost almost 15% of GDP during the peak of the economic crisis. Because export markets fall deeper and faster, ”said the magnificent.

“And that is why Ukraine only in December 2012 lost 10% of steel production, according to various indicators (for different months) 15 - 20% in engineering, metallurgy. In 2012, the indicators of such an industry as construction decreased. And this despite the fact that in 2012 we spent more than 80 billion hryvnias of budget funds on such a huge project as Euro 2012, ”the deputy said.

“However, the income of 10 families that control 80% of the Ukrainian economy grow. And they are growing with a pace not 1%, not 5%or even 10%, but 560%. It is precisely such the growth rate of the capitalization of the business of one of the adherents of the current political regime of businessman Firtash, ”said the lush.

“In fact, the remnants of Ukrainian industry are under control today. And here's the question - under whose? We still cannot understand who controls the monopolist in the field of telecommunications Ukrtelecom. Isn't it? Akhmetov, family, Russians, Swiss? Who controls? ”He asks.

“Structural changes in the economy, monopolism, corruption are a consequence. This is all a consequence of the fact that the country is actually rule
