New passenger car registrations in August totaled 94,989 units, down 10.7 percent from July and up 43.4 percent year-on-year. Passenger cars accounted for 44.1 percent of the total number of new car registrations in the given month.
On the other hand, new registrations of small trucks totaled 17,342 units in August, down 38.3 percent month-on-month and 1.9 percent year-on-year. Registrations of small trucks accounted for eight percent of the total number of new registrations in the given month.
