In January-August of this year, exports of steel bars in China amounted to 12.25 million tons. Tons, up 52.2 percent per year, while exports of wire rods totaled 1.95 million tons, up 12.1 percent per year, according to Chinese customs authorities. At the same time, in a certain period, China's export volumes at corners/channels amounted to 5.03 million tons. Tons, an increase of 39.2 percent per year.
In August alone, exports of steel bars to China increased by 2.5 percent, by 8.3 percent, and remained stable month-on-month, respectively.
