India’s Power Utility Ntpc limited and State-Code Steel Produce Steel Authority of India limited (Sail) Have ComMissioned a 15 MW Floating Power Power Project to Provide Captive Power to the Latter’s Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) In the Eastern State of Chhattisgar, A Company Statement Said on Friday, September 26.
Spread Across 80 Acres of the Maroda-1 Reservoir and Built For $ 125 million, the project will generate about 34.25 million units of clean electricity per year, the report said. This capacity will be used by BSP as a captive energy, reducing the release of carbon dioxide by about 28,400 tons and saves almost 23,000 million coal every year.
The company said that the second floating solar project 35 MW is now at the MARODA-2 reserve stage in 35 in 35 MW at the stage of reserve Maroda-2.
