The Mexican steel company Deacero officially laid the first stone for its new processing plant in Syudad-Huarez, which marked a significant expansion of the scrap processing network. With a total investment of 250 million Mexican pesos ($ 13.59 million), a new object will process about 10,000 tons of scrap metal per month.
it is expected that the project will create about 1540 direct and indirect jobs, stimulating economic activity in the north of Mexico and strengthening local industrial supply chains.
A modern chopper for processing scrap
at the object in the Syudad-Huares will use the modern grinding technology that allows Deacero more efficiently process scrap for use in the production of reinforcement and rollells, which is two important factors for the rapidly developing construction industry of Mexico.
This update is part of a wider deacero strategy to expand the internal capacities for the processing and support of the country's transition to more resource-efficient and circular economy.
Strengthening Deacero leadership in circular steel
Deacro already managing production plants in Metrokes, Merida, Tlalnepantle, Guadalahahra, Tultitlane, San Antonio and Corpus Crist (USA). Together, the company annually processes 3.8 million tons of steel.
