India initiated the investigation of the alleged dumping of certain steel products from China, Indonesia and Vietnam after a complaint of domestic industry, government officials said on Tuesday, October 7.
The Director General of Trading Foreign Protection (DGTR) under the Ministry of Trade initiated anti -dumping investigation (AD) In relation to the import of cold -rolled flat products of stainless steel, 300 and 400 of these three countries.
The Indian Stainless Steel Development Association submitted an application on behalf of domestic manufacturers, arguing that the dumping of these products from three countries causes damage to local manufacturers of stainless steel.
dgtr in the notification said that he “satisfied himself on the basis of Prima Facie evidence, represented by the domestic industry, substantiating the dumping and subsequent damage to the domestic industry.”DGTR will determine the degree and effect of dumping. If it is established that the dumping has caused material damage to the domestic players, DGTR will recommend the introduction of the collection of all these items for imports, the report said. AD.
