One of the world's largest diversified mining groups, Glencore, cut its own copper production by 17% year on year to 583.5 thousand tons in January-September 2025, the company said on Wednesday. Peruvian Antapakkay and KCC (DR Congo).
In the third quarter, copper production was 36% higher than the previous period.
Glencore's copper production forecast in 2025 was adjusted to 850-875 thousand tons from 850-890 thousand tons.
Cobalt output for 9 months was 8% higher than many years ago, amounting to 28.5 thousand tons, zinc - 10% higher, amounting to 709.4 thousand tons. Glencore revised its cobalt production forecasts to 42-45 thousand tons from 41-43 thousand tons, zinc to 940-980 thousand tons from 950-975 thousand tons.
Coking coal production increased over 9 months to 24.7 million tons from 11.1 million tons in the same period in 2024, reflecting the acquisition EVR last July.
