Sales of flat-rolled steel by Brazilian distributors reached 311,900 tons in November, up from 354,200 tons in October, according to industry institute INDA.
On a comparative basis, INDA-linked distribution network acquisitions fell 7.5 percent to 317,800 tons, while inventory levels increased 0.6 percent to 1.079 million tons. represents the equivalent of 3.5 months of consumption, which is considered by the sector to be an "uncomfortable" level for consumption exceeding 2.8 months.
November imports increased 5.9 percent to 265,900 tons, including heavy sheets, HRC, CRC, galvanized, HDG, pre-painted and galvaluum products.

INDA expects December 2025 acquisitions to decline 10 percent and sales to fall 14 percent compared to November 2025.
Carlos Loureiro, Inda's executive president, confirmed that Brazilian flat steel producers will raise prices by 5 to 8 percent in January 2026, returning to January 2025 levels. Usiminas, however, previously stated that it would not raise prices in the first quarter of 2026.
