According to the Chinese customs authorities, in 2025, exports of steel bars from China amounted to 19.15 million tons, which is 42.4 percent more than last year, and exports of wire rod amounted to 2.96 million tons, which is 13.1 percent more than last year. At the same time, China's exports of corners/channels for the specified period amounted to 8.08 million tons, an increase of 36.6 percent year-on-year.
In December alone, China's exports of steel bars, wire rods, and corners/channels totaled 1.89 million tons, 280,000 tons, and 920,000 tons, or 29.2 percent, 17.5 percent, and 55.6 percent year-on-year, while increasing 10.5 percent, 12 percent, and 31.4 percent month-on-month, respectively.
