The number of gas drilling rigs decreased by 2 to 122, and the number of oil drilling rigs increased by 1 to 421. The total number of drilling rigs in the United States decreased by 37 rigs compared to the same period last year
Meanwhile, the number of drilling rigs in Canada increased by 29 to 226 rigs for the week ending January 16. The number of drilling rigs in Canada decreased by 3 compared to the same reporting period the previous year.
