Keliber will be the first battery-grade lithium mining project in Europe.
"The Keliber lithium project is the most advanced integrated lithium project in Europe (EU), with a planned production volume of lithium hydroxide monohydrate (LiOH) with a battery quality of about 15,000 tons per year for over 18 years," Sibanye-Stillwater said in a press release.
The company clarifies that the lithium project in Finland includes the entire production chain, from sales, in particular, to sales.
