According to the Spanish steel producers association UNESCO, in November last year, steel production in Spain totaled 920,000 tons, down 3.1 percent month-on-month and 8.1 percent year-on-year. In the period from January to November 2025, the country's steel production amounted to 11.11 million tons, compared with 11.04 million tons recorded in the same period in 2024.
In the specified month, the Spanish steel industry processed 833,000 tons of scrap, which will be used to produce new steel products, which is 0.2 percent less than in the previous month and 3.6 percent more year-on-year. In the first 11 months of last year, the industry processed 9.02 million tons of scrap.
