According to a statement released by the Turkish Steel Association (TCUD), the country's crude steel production rose 6.5 percent month-on-month and 18.5 percent year-on-year to 3.53 million tons in December this year. The country's ingot production increased 16.5 percent to 2.2 million tons, while slab production rose 22.1 percent to 1.3 million tons year-on-year.
Turkey's crude steel production stood at 38.1 million tons in 2025, up 3.3 percent year-on-year. The country's ingot production rose 6.1 percent to 24.2 million tons, while slab production fell 1.2 percent to 13.9 million tons year-on-year.
Meanwhile, for the full year, 27.5 million tons, equivalent to 72.2 percent of the country's crude steel production, were produced by electric arc furnaces, and 10.6 million tons, corresponding to 27.8 percent, were produced by integrated plants.
