Worldsteel data shows that India was the largest DRI producer among the countries surveyed last December, with its production of 5.2 million metric tons of DRI in that month. India was followed in December by Iran, Russia and Egypt with production volumes of 3 million tons, 700,000 tons and 645,000 tons, respectively.
