Turkish steel company Koç Metalurji, based in Hatay, has announced a temporary shutdown of production at its Osmaniya plant as part of planned maintenance and improvement activities.
According to a company statement, the production line will be stopped for approximately 15 days starting January 26, 2026, with operations expected to resume on February 9 2026.
Focus on efficiency and operational reliability
The temporary shutdown is due to planned maintenance work and efficiency improvements aimed at ensuring the continuity of production operations at the plant.
Koc Metalurji said that the planned shutdown will not have a material impact on the company's overall operations or financial results.
Resumption of production as scheduled
After completion of maintenance and modernization work, production activities at the Osmaniya plant are planned to resume in accordance with the company's operating plans.
