The pipes will be used in foundation work along the Mediterranean Main Corridor, a strategic transport route linking ports in southern Spain with destinations throughout Eastern Europe.
Technical specifications and product volume
The order includes pipes in several sizes with external diameters from 114.3 mm to 244.5 mm mm and wall thickness from 8 mm to 25 mm. All products are made of S355J2H grade steel, which is widely used in bridge and structural applications due to its high strength and good low temperature strength.
Interpipe confirmed that about a quarter of the contract volume has already been shipped to the customer.
Focus on customized lengths and long-term cooperation
Commenting on the agreement, Massimo Marrama, Senior European Pipe Sales Manager at Interpipe, said that the customer needs pipes of several specific lengths adapted to support efficient production of piles and micro-piles for the project.
