Brazilian iron ore and pellet producer Samarco achieved its highest annual production and sales volume in 2025 since restarting operations.
Cumulative pellet and fines production reached 15.1 million tonnes in 2025, up 55 percent from 2024, while equivalent sales increased 68 percent to 15.9 million tons
The average pellet price fell 16 percent to $129.9/t, while the average total pellet and fines price fell 21 percent to $121.3/t.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, pellet and fine production was 3.9 million tons, up 6 percent lower than the previous quarter, but 34 percent higher than the fourth quarter. 2024
Sales of pellets and fines in the fourth quarter of 2025 reached 5.0 million tons, up 23 percent from the previous quarter and 70 percent more than in the fourth quarter of 2024.
