TUIK: The cost of steel imports to Turkey decreased by 6.1 percent in 2025
According to preliminary foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December last year, the value of iron and steel imports to Turkey fell by 16.1 percent year-on-year, amounting to $1.85 billion. In this month, iron and steel ranked sixth among the country's most imported products in terms of value. For the whole of 2025, the value of iron and steel imports to Turkey amounted to $22.21 billion, a decrease of 6.1% compared to the same period in 2024.
