The Minister of Finance of India, Palaniapan Chidambara, proposed to introduce a ten percent adalor export fee for the export of bauxite from the country. It is reported by Steelguru.
The use of the fee, according to the minister, will contribute to the aluminum industry of the state, preventing export. With the help of such a measure, the government will support local aluminum producers, for which bauxite are key raw materials.
India takes the fifth place in the world in the explored reserves of bauxite of excellent quality and is going to achieve the maximum degree of processing of aluminum inside the country.
